Debbie Perez Gaite was appointed as General Manager of the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers, Inc. (FILSCAP) in May 2006. Under her leadership the Society has doubled its revenues from P33.0M in 2005 to P66.0M in 2009 and has more than tripled the gross distribution (royalties) from P18.0M in 2005 to P59.9M in 2009. FILSCAP was also able to build its own offices and secured its regular membership under the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC).

A graduate of UP Diliman, Debbie Gaite gained corporate experience in Marketing, Manufacturing, and Human Resource Management before joining FILSCAP. She was also a concert producer and Artist Manager. She was trained in Music Copyright and CMO management by CISAC, WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association), JASRAC (Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers) and the Japanese Intellectual Property Office, The Republic of Singapore, the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI).
