JV has been involved in the music and digital space for well over a decade.  In 1989 he was a founding member of Living Without A Drum; a band which you've never heard of because they had a grand total of 3 gigs, each one progressively more horrendous than the last.

His frustrations as an artist led him to join the business side of the industry, with Sony Music in 1995 as Marketing Director, and then later on as head of EMI Philippines. He spent six years with Information Gateway, the largest content provider in the Philippines, where he was Chief Content Officer.
