These are but some of the immortal hits of this cool Berklee College of Music-trained composer-arranger and topnotch musical director named LJO --- Luis Jocson Ocampo --- more popularly known in the industry as Louie O.

As a child, he listened to his father’s Henry Mancini albums. He also became a fan of the piano duet Ferrante and Teicher and jazz fusion artists like Chick Correa. At age 13, he studied the piano and electric organ under Carmencita Arambulo. While in high school at DeLa Salle, he played the keyboard and composed music for jazz fusion bands and pop groups. In 1977, he gained recognition  as keyboard soloist by winning in the International Electrone Festival in Japan. From 1977 to 1979, he studied music at the University of the Philippines and St. Paul College, then went to the United States for further studies in film scoring at the Berklee College of Music.  In the Philippines, he pioneered the use of computers and synthesizers for composing, arranging and recording.

Louie O has produced long playing albums and cds for local and international artists. He has worked as musical director for the top performers of the country. He has toured extensively with singers around the world. He has scored films and won awards for them. He composed and arranged countless jingles for television and radio commercials.

At 50, what is Louie O up to?

Louie O intends to make more music that would be appreciated not only by the colleagues of his beautiful wife Jojo, but to crossover to the generation of his beloved children Patricia,  Roberta, Isabella  and Quito.
